Dear Readers,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to inform you that the Aurora Housing Observer will be undergoing a temporary hiatus. This pause is due to the search for a new individual to lead the publication as I prepare to head to college this fall.
Over the past few years, the Aurora Housing Observer has been dedicated to shedding light on the pressing issues surrounding affordable housing in our community. We have shared the personal stories of many Aurora residents who have faced significant challenges related to housing instability, eviction, and substandard living conditions. Our aim has always been to give voice to these experiences and to advocate for meaningful change in housing policies.
As I transition to this new chapter in my life, it has become necessary to find someone who can continue this important work. This search is crucial to ensuring that the publication not only maintains its current standards but also evolves to meet the ever-changing landscape of housing issues in Aurora.
During this period, there may be an extended downtime as I carefully select the right candidate to take the Aurora Housing Observer into its next phase. I appreciate your understanding and patience as we make this transition. Our commitment to bringing you insightful and impactful stories remains unwavering, and we look forward to resuming our regular updates as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Pranet Swain – Editor, Aurora Housing Observer, 2020-2024
